Hospital & Healthcare

In healthcare, power failure is not an inconvenience — it is a life-threatening emergency. Naradex batteries provide the reliable backup power that hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities trust to protect patients.

The Challenge

  • Life-support equipment failure during power outages directly endangers patients
  • Operating rooms require uninterrupted power for surgical equipment and lighting
  • Medical IT systems (PACS, HIS, LIS) cannot tolerate data corruption from power glitches
  • Healthcare facility standards require certified, fire-safe battery systems

The Naradex Solution

Naradex ND12 and NL2 series batteries are deployed in hospital UPS systems, medical equipment backup, and emergency power installations. Our UL94-V0 fire resistant containers, CE certification, and ISO-certified manufacturing meet the stringent safety requirements of healthcare environments.

Life-Critical Reliability

IQC→PQC→OQC quality system ensures every battery meets healthcare-grade reliability standards.

Fire Safety Certified

UL94-V0 fire resistant ABS containers meet hospital building fire codes.

Compatible with Medical UPS

Hospital & Healthcare FAQ

Are Naradex batteries safe for hospital installation?
Yes. Naradex batteries feature UL94-V0 fire resistant ABS containers, sealed VRLA design (no acid spills), and CE certification. The sealed construction produces no hydrogen gas under normal float charging conditions, making them safe for indoor hospital battery rooms.
How long can Naradex batteries power an operating room during an outage?
This depends on your UPS capacity and OR load. A typical small OR UPS (20kVA) with a battery bank of 16 × ND12-100 provides approximately 15-20 minutes of backup — sufficient to bridge to generator startup. For longer autonomy, we size larger battery banks to meet your specific requirements.
Can Naradex batteries power medical imaging equipment (CT, MRI)?
Naradex batteries can power the UPS systems that protect medical imaging equipment. However, large imaging systems like MRI and CT scanners typically require dedicated large-capacity UPS installations. We recommend NL2 series 2V cells or ND12-200 for these high-demand applications. Contact us with your specific power requirements.
What is the recommended battery replacement schedule for hospitals?
We recommend annual capacity testing starting at year 5 of service, with proactive replacement when tested capacity drops below 80% of rated. For life-critical applications (OR, ICU), many hospitals replace batteries at 70-80% of design life as a safety margin — approximately every 7-8 years for ND12 series.
